Where were you when 2012 arrived?

... I was in DC, more specifically at Sheraton hotel, performing at Asteria Productions 8th Annual New Year's Eve Party.

We had a great time and most importantly it was an awesome beginning for the new year.

2012 seems to include a lot of traveling, performing, new collaborations and new endeavors.

in other words ... SWEEEEEET!!

Oh, did I mention there is a new single about to drop from WARNER Music?

After the hurricane(s)...

Armed with batteries, clothes, all the important papers etc we found shelter in CT, only to be left in the dark for a few days there, while NY smirked and continued its crazy rhythms...

Annoying as it may sound, we were all actually quite glad nothing happened to the big apple.
Especially after an earthquake that hit a few days prior, our personal "drama", our friends' personal "drama" and their mother's personal "drama"... God! Maybe I should have become a doctor!

In all this excitement (that's how we'll be calling it from now on), thankfully music and inspiration has not abandoned us!!

This is the first month of Fall, first month of the academic year and hopefully the last one to see the "troubled" one...

This month's goal:

new place,
new songs,
new videos,
new gear,
new clothes (hey not just work),
new gym!

I'm sure more stuff will appear as we go on.
To the universe: "Bring it on; I DO have a black belt, remember?"

July is the month of... touching base??

OK I know I have said this before, but this is really happening now. You know how sometimes you know that something is going to happen and then it happens? Well THAT happens ALL THE TIME!! So I decided to embrace it and use it. I honestly do; everyday!

Moreover, I started touching base with people from my past and it's incredible how happy this made us all!! Actors, singers, friends, family friends, people we met a while back and didn't keep track of each other, but now everybody is being attracted to each other like some mystical force (cue the eery music in the background) is playing puppets with us...

Everything happened according to plan.

The Concert in greece was great, the journey was awesome. I didn't have a chance to see all my friends there but that only means I have to go back...!

While I was recovering from the surgeries and still in jet lag, I tried to organize my office. Guess what! I realized that all the pictures from older concerts, plays, gigs, magazine clippings, newspaper articles, posters etc that I have are: A) not organized as I thought and B) A LOT!! OMG I had forgotten most of the things I had done and was focusing on the things I did in the US... If only there was a way to collect all the TV appearances I have ever made THAT would be amazing!!

Now that I'm back in the big "fruit", I am focusing a bit more on the company (since the music gigs are pretty much planned out) and our June shows. The Performance Group of Beacon that I created will kick some serious A** in 3 weeks!

Does anybody know of an apartment for rent BTW??

OMG... Time flies!
This month seems to be the most balanced of them all! (in paper at least!!)

Cool!! Will use this time to work on the new songs, the concert idea and the rest of the project.
I will be traveling East this month and I am really looking forward to it.

Hopefully by the end of the month I will have visitors, a concert (or more) a few new songs and maybe a new photo shoot (??). Let's not forget the new Music Video. Mr. Omar Santana did an amazing job with The Muse (short film) and I really think he's going to make a wonderful video!!

Oh!! Let's not forget my radio interview on keith johnson's radio show mid February. Will play a new song for the first time!!

Thanks to Kurtis Danskin! This dude has been a real friend! Wish I can manage to see his concert in March, otherwise will definitely try to in the fall!

It's official!!

Everything is going according to plan!!

(not MY plan, but I'm sure somebody's...)

Booked my ticket for Greece!! (Will be going in two months for two weeks.)

Moreover, I pretty much finished the ADR for the new movie (The Muse) and I think it's going to be nice!!

The snow is falling once again! Haven't we had enough already?!

Hey the summer is moving along and so are all the projects and news.

So the show is over and it seems it went pretty well. The Cast was so much fun to work with and hopefully we'll meet again pretty soon.

Currently I'm also performing in the city every Friday and am getting ready to shoot another film in the last week of August.

The previous one (The Divorce) is in post production, but the trailer is ready:

Hopefully by the end of the summer both movies are going to be ready and maybe the feature film too.

Don't miss also my appearance in National Geographic's "Monsters Inside Us".

Moreover, I'm still teaching singing at Roosevelt Island PS/IS while getting ready for the September's Off-Broadway Greek tragedy…

Hey everybody!

Long time...

I hope you enjoyed your holidays and had a great time with friends and loved ones.

I was mostly working over the holidays and 2010 has started with many promises professionally speaking.
As you might know I teach vocals at Roosevelt Island Public School and the kids have been AMAZING!! They have found out about my TV show and of course they all want to be in it!!
My private students have been getting to a whole new level singing wise which only makes me happy and extremely proud of them!

Moreover, I will be letting you know about my performances (getting many booking offers) as well as our ETHOS Productions tour of A Cuckoo Family.

This is all very exciting!

Well I think my new year's resolutions have already started!! Careful what you wish for right?

New Era!!

Well, my latest news are quite exciting!

First of all our New Production Company is officially up and running!

ETHOS Productions - ETHOS Management is producing the first play: "A Cuckoo Family" opened on Friday and is already considered an amazing production!

Greece was great this summer (or so I heard at least) cause I was dragged in the studio literally the moment I arrived!! - who's complaining? :-P

So I was cast in a new musical recording and the CD will be released shortly.

After that I started rehearsing with Mimis Plessas (the greek Gershwin) for a new project I'm doing with him.

Also, we have started working on some new material for a single here in the US but also some stuff for Greece too!!

Lots to come! Hope we are all well so we can enjoy all the cool stuff that are coming.

Long Time....!

Hey sorry for appearing under the radar for a while...

I've been keeping busy here in NY and now things have finally settled down (or it seems).
I got a part in a commercial, the Sundays at ELO gig is still going, got a role in a movie and have a fundraising event which I'm hosting and guest perform in this Friday ( the 29th).

That's all I can talk about for now. Soon I will let you know about more.

Christmas in Athens

This trip was much awaited but for once more we realize that we are really small! Everybody has been asking me about the album, and the Video Clip... How can I go promoting my stuff when all this is happening so close? Vandals and pissed-off citizens are tearing this city apart. Not once thinking of the consequences... I hope the Christmas miracle happens and everything is resolved in peace and harmony...

Getting ready for Greece...

Well one week remains... After Thanksgiving I will get on a plane to Greece after a year and a half. The reason for this trip is the three concerts at Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) on December 23, 24 and 25 with Maria Farantouri.

Prior to that I will sing for Deree's Alumni a few songs from my album which is
GOING TO GREECE!!!
I am very happy and excited about that too!

I will try to keep you informed about any other appearance that may come up!

Well, well well!!
The summer moved on and now the winter is almost here!!
However, after 1 year and a few months being away from Greece I will be visiting for X-mas!

Now that Lysistrata is up and "running" (the show opened last week) I know I can be free to do other things for now. Well I'll be performong alongside Maria Farantouris at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron Mousikis).

I'll be in Athens for rehearsals but also for a few other things as well!! I'll be performing for the Deree College alumni (December 11th) and also my album "One Look" will be arriving for distribution in Greece!! (by Music Post).

I'll keep you posted for TV appearances or anything that might come up!!

Long Time....!

Well it's been a long time since I updated this...
I finished a few projects and also appeared on some festivals here in NY while hosting a radio show at www.greece365.us

First of all I was the vocal coach and lyricist for the show "The Psychiatrist" which opened in the Mastic Theatre.
The Direction was by George Markakis and the composer I worked with (who also played the role of the psychiatrist) was my friend Peter Christofidis.

Speaking of CDs I finally got my copy of "GODS" the new musical by Ayhan Sahin. I had such a fun time recording these songs. Apart from the leading character I had the chance to record with the chorus ( and change my voice a bit which I LOVE to do!!)
The CD is already being played on radios in Turkey!!

And coming to my own album now.
I performed in three venues at the "Make Music NY" festival and also at the "World's Fair" in Atlas Park.
The response was great I signed CDs and gave autographs to old and new fans! Thank you so much everybody!

Also my collaborators informed me that "One Look" has been getting more reviews and fans worldwide!!
I really appreciate it you guys!!

By the way there is an interview of mine in the Greek music magazine "MOODY". Check it out!!

Now that the summer is officially over we are getting ready for big projects!

After a week in Paris I am getting redy for the Plastira lake... I still haven't received my luggage (still in Paris I think).

Paris was incredible and my shopping included a new sound card and a recording mic.... My sister will never understand!!!

It looks like fun and I love working with this guy!
He is SO talented and he is hilarious!!!

Irish Project

So I travelled to London to meet with my vocal coach here, Robert Bicknell. He managed to change his schedule and work with me for 3 days before the recording session in Ireland.... I arrived in Dublin with Avril MacRory who is the manager of the project . We recorded in a wonderfull studio with Mark Cahill who is an amazing engineer/arranger!
Willie Hughes, who is the composer of the songs, was with us everyday - in spite of the fact that he was recovering from the flu - to give us guidelines! Bless you Willie!!

While having breakfast with Simona Solis (the italian singer) we realized something really spooky...
We were born on the EXACT DATE!!! (same day, month, year!! -we won't say when! ;-) )
The recording went well and we had a really great time!

I didn't get to see much of Ireland but I promised Ema (Mark's wife) I will be back soon so we ca all ..."Be Pirates!!" (lol)

I will spend a few more days in London before returning to Greece and I think I might be coming back in a week or two to participate in " sing London" with Robert Bicknell...

New Journey Starting this week...

After one week in Greece I have to pack my bags and go to London for the new project! I am excited to be working with Robert Bicknell again! I will also be going to Dublin, Ireland. The last time I was there, it was more than 10 years ago for shows and seminars!! That time I ran into the singer of "Cure" I wonder who it's gonna be this time !!! :-)

The summer is here and I have offers from both Greece and US for shows... What can one do?

I'm sure it will clear up. For the moment I want to do this right.

News from New York

It is official!

The journey to New York is coming to an end...

What started as a two week vacation in New York became a 4 month stay!!
I met incredible people. Got some amazing feedback about my performaces and the upcoming CD.

I coached a show which is coming to its end on the 20th, co-auditioned people for a new play, gave radio interviews, performed live and planned my seed in this incredible city. As an actor, singer, vocal coach and musician I have tried my best here.
New projects, however, have made my return to Greece a necessity - even though it will be a brief return.

I will be travelling to London, Ireland, Australia and God knows where else...
It is all so exciting!!
We are planning concerts, recordings, more collaborations...
Also, I am informed that the remix of one of the songs will be given to the radios soon!
I might be returing to New York soon for further stuff.
My one-man-show will be up and ready and it will need an audience!! :-)

The journey will finish with a last event. That will be, presenting a Music Video Contest.
(My background as a TV-host is back to haunt me!! he he he).

I want to thank all the people that have made all this possible.
My old and my new good friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I wouldn't have done anything without you guys!
