Before 2016 leaves...

Summer came and went and the fall has well arrived! So this is what's up for the remainder of the year.

  • Beacon Program started and now I'm also teaching and overseeing the Broadcasting Group!
  • We shot a new Music Video which is currently being edited
  • Finishing up the new greek songs that will be presented in November
  • Rehearsing with the band for the DC concert.
  • Writing music for a play that is opening in December
  • Starting rehearsals with my students for their holiday play/show.

Already February!

I cannot believe January came and went, (and so did our annual trip to a warmer climate - this year Antigua). Not only that, February also arrived, so we celebrated Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day weekends with a polar vortex... Thankfully my trip to FL got cancelled so I didn't get to have any guilt about being away... (irony! lol)

Anyway, I am as of ...well, now the Artistic Director of the music department for the TIMARETE festival in NY. First emails out, first confirmations etc. Excited! Also, rehearsals at school are going GREAT, the Greek label collaboration is almost signed and sealed, and ideas f new songs are pouring in. With my new set up I seem to be passing most of my day working on 5 projects. The bad thing is I have 15...! Have I mentioned in this post how awful NY weather is?

Keep living the dream everyone.

Last drops of 2015...

As the year is coming to an end, I reminisce about the changes this year brought; the good and the bad; the rough endings and the new beginnings. All will go out either huge Party this New Year's Eve in Newport News, VA! Thank you all for travelling along! Can't wait to share with you whatever 2016 has in store.

Happy New Year to come!

New Music, new play, new goal!

After a LOT of consideration and some ...gentle pressure from my business partners we have decided it's time to start slowly working on our new theatrical production! So I'm putting my composer hat on and dive in the darkest alley I can find to write the songs that will transcend the voice of the missing character of the play (have I said too much??)! Painful at times, soaring at most, but totally worth it! Production is starting to take form.

Kidding aside, I have to admit I am most humbled by the whole process, extending my arms to people I trust to help us build this new play and do it the justice it deserves! We have gradually raised the bar, bringing productions that have grown us as a production team, as people and as friends. We've learned so much and we are ready!

Christos Alexandrou the Vocal Coach

After taking a few years to focus on performances, recordings and travelling I am returning to the Beacon Program's school auditorium on Roosevelt Island to start coaching again! I'm really excited and am ready to take on the responsibilities that come with this title.

Carnegie Hall here we come!

I was cast as part of the new Rock Opera, Porphyra that is debuting in Carnegie Hall! As the incomparable Donna Wyant takes over as the director of this demanding show, I am entrusted with the role of the Narrator as well as the Creative Director and additional composer for this show! Dimitris Lambrianos also becomes now the Musical Director and band leader!
